Branches Tver
Tver Branch of CenterTelecom is a regional operator providing traditional telephony and new types of services throughout Tver region, the biggest region in Central Russia with 84.000 square kilometers area and over 1.5 million in population. Tver branch is one of fifteen CenterTelecom's regional telecommunications operators.

The branch provides the following services: local and intra-zone telephone communications, data transmission, wireline and wireless broadcasting, intelligent services, dial-up and dedicated Internet access, construction of private and virtual telecommunications networks, and communications channel leasing.

History of telecommunications in Tver region exceeds 150 years. It began in 1852 when Tver, Vyshny Volochek, Bologoye and other railway stations of Tver province were equipped with electricity.

Currently over 300,000 subscribers of the telephone network are serviced by Tver branch of CenterTelecom. Its external plants are stretched across many thousands of kilometers. Over 30,000 customers of the branch use ADSL Internet access services provided by the branch; thousands of customers are connected to the Internet through dial-up technology. Length of optic fiber telecommunication lines exceeds 1,000 kilometers. The level of digitalization of Tver city telephone lines amounts to 100%; in the region it reaches 77%. These are the highest penetrations in Central Russia.

Modernization of the existing network is being undertaken on a permanent basis; the company is striving to satisfy demands of its exacting customers. The branch has all necessary resources for successful development of traditional and new services. The resources include buildings, telephone exchanges, external plants based on the branch's own multiservice network, and of course highly qualified personnel.

In recent years Tver branch of CenterTelecom has actively built virtual private networks (VPNs) for its corporate clients. VPN connects company's headquarters with its branches into a single protected corporate network with a full range of telecommunications services and guaranteed reliability of connection. This service is of interest to major state financed organizations with an expanded branch network. CenterTelecom's Tver branch has already implemented dozens of VPN projects for its clients.

In 2009 Tver branch built a multiservice network for Tver region. The new network allows Tver branch to significantly improve the quality of its services and also to propose complex solutions including provision of such services as VOIP, IP TV, interactive video services, video monitoring etc.

It is worth pointing out that Tver branch's policy has always been socially focused. Previously this related to provision of telephone connections to Tver region's remote localities, free installation of telephone lines for veterans of World War II (and free provision of mobile telephones to this category of customers if installation of a fixed line was technically impossible) and with other measures. Currently Tver branch of CenterTelecom participates in implementation of a number of priority national programs.
